CHARLESTON, W.Va. – The West Virginia Business & Industry Council (BIC) honored Delegates Linda Sumner and Karen Arvon with awards for “Legislative Excellence” during a special meeting of the organization at Tamarack in Beckley on September 18th.
“Delegates Sumner and Arvon have a proven track record of advocating for job development, infrastructure improvement, legal fairness and fiscal responsibility – the main items West Virginia’s business community believes will move the state forward.” said BIC Chairman Chris Hamilton. “They are deserving of this award and the business community across the state appreciates their service to West Virginia.”
“Delate Sumner has been a leader on business and education issues throughout her twelve year tenure in the Legislature, and Delegate Arvon is a rising star, championing efforts to improve the state’s economy,” Hamilton said. “We hope the constituents in their district will re-elect them to continue their service to West Virginia.”
