  • WV Business & Industry Council to Discuss Employer Issues, Legislative Priorities During Dec. 16 Conference in Charleston

    Charleston, W.Va. (December 4, 2014) – Representatives of the state’s major business trade associations will outline their legislative agendas, discuss issues to grow the state’s economy and interact with state policy leaders during the West Virginia Business & Industry Council’s Pre-Legislative Conference and Reception for Newly Elected Members from 9:00 a.m.-6:30 p.m., on Tuesday, December 16 at the Marriott in Charleston.

  • West Virginia Business & Industry Council Congratulates New Legislators

    November 11th, 2014

    CHARLESTON, WV – The West Virginia Business & Industry Council (BIC) congratulates all those candidates that earned election or re-election to the West Virginia Legislature on November 4th.

    “Eighty-seven percent of BIC-endorsed candidates won election on Tuesday night,” said Chris Hamilton, chairman of BIC.  “This result is a testament to the efforts of many different individuals and organizations, to include our members who worked extremely hard to elect candidates that will move West Virginia forward.”

    CHARLESTON, W.Va. – The West Virginia Business & Industry Council (BIC) honored Delegates Linda Sumner and Karen Arvon with awards for “Legislative Excellence” during a special meeting of the organization at Tamarack in Beckley on September 18th.

  • WV BIC Honors Senator David Sypolt, Delegates Pasdon, Frich for Legislative Excellence

    CHARLESTON, W.Va. – The West Virginia Business & Industry Council (BIC) honored Senator David Sypolt and Delegates Amanda Pasdon and Cindy Frich with awards for “Legislative Excellence” during a special meeting of the organization at the Waterfront Place Hotel in Morgantown on September 4.

  • WV BIC Honors Delegates Craig, Miller, Sobonya for Legislative Excellence

    October 9th, 2014

    CHARLESTON, W.Va. – The West Virginia Business & Industry Council (BIC) honored Delegates Carol Miller and Kelli Sobonya with awards for “Legislative Excellence” during a special meeting of the organization in Huntington on September 24th.  Additionally, Delegate Kevin Craig was presented with the “Honoring Extraordinary Legislative Leadership Award” for his fourteen years of service to Cabell County and the State of West Virginia.
